Chunuk Bair Cemetery & Memorial

Chunuk Bair memorial wall. George Russell, one of 850 NZ soldiers who lost his life during the battle of Chunuk Bair in August 1915. A total of 632 soldiers are buried at this cemetery and the identities of 622 remain unknown. Those whose burial places remain identified are inscribed on the memorial wall at Chunuk Bair Cemetery.
