Last night in Morocco

Our last night in Morocco!  It has been the most amazing adventure in this beautiful country.  We have loved every corner we have turned.  A country of amazing scenic diversity and beautiful culture.  We have travelled the Atlantic coastline, camel trekked the Sahara, ridden bikes in sandstorm crossed mountains in snow, drank a hotel out of red wine (with a little help from our friends), visited the crazy busy cities, become great Berber hagglers, received a trophy speeding ticket and embraced the Moroccan villages, Kasbahs and friendly, honest people.  It has far exceeded any expectations we had, and feel privileged to have had the opportunity to explore this beautiful part of the world.  Here's some photos of our last few days. Back to Spain tomorrow.
A lovely wee village, whilst traversing between
the high and mid Atlas

Snow as far as the eye could see
Fes, the leather is brought from the tanneries
by donkeys to the top of the hill to dry
View of the Fez medina from a roof top
Fez tannery, where all the washing is dying of
leather is carried out.  It had just undergone
restoration works for the Kings visit next
week, so we did not experience the dubious
pleasure of the smell!

Meknes, the entrance to the
Royal Golf Course

The golf course is fully enclosed inside the old
palace walls which is inside the city's 25km walls

Yes officer, I'm guilty! I was doing 71km in a
60km area ...... 200 DH later .......
John says, "not bad for nearly 28,000km and
only one speeding fine!"
Chefchaouen, a beautiful blue & white village
based in the Riff mountains
So colourful
